... smile and nod, that's all I ask...
What does next semester look like? I'll tell you what it looks like. It looks like my last semester before I get to transfer somewhere there are normal people, by which I mean abnormal people, but people I can talk to without feeling like a freak.

It also looks like:

Intermediate French 1
Intermediate Russian 1
Physical Science
Intro to Philosophy
Philosophy and Methods of Political Science
Western Political Thought 1
Contemporary World
Model U.N.

... And yes, that is a good thing, if anyone doubts it.

Subject to change, depending on what The Other University (like The Other Woman, right?) will accept as transfer credits and what it won't. I want ouuuuuuuuuuut of here. But before I go, I might let my Bible professor and C. S. Lewis re-convert me. Just a heads-up.

Edit: In which case, no, I am not giving up slash. I'm more certain that homosexuality is okay than that there is a god, so the latter is going to have to jive with the former.

Bloody hell. My schedule isn't working out the way I planned. Although I might have to suck it up and take poetry AND fiction writing next semester oO *will be sobusy*

I still don't get the whole re-conversion thing.

You don't have to get it. Just roll with it. *rolls*

And... dude, that will kind of suck. Will have been nice knowing you. But we'll always have the summer, kid.

*french bread*

/really bad joke

Hahaha <3 well, it's not definite. I can drop at any time. My theory is that if I have it as a backup, I might actually manage to get what I need.

Heads-up has no apostrophe.

That's a lot of classes.

Thank you! (Like, really. *gives you Grammar Attack Kitten badge and gear*)

And it is not. It's only 18 hours. Well, 20 starting in October for Model U.N., but that doesn't count, especially since I think I need to drop it if I'm transferring.

Posts like this make me REALLY wonder what your school is like, as taking that many courses here would be HELL.

And it makes me wish I wasn't in sciences because Arts students get to take courses with such cool names. I mean 'Western Political Thought I' sounds so much cooler than 'Quantitative Chemical Analysis'.

SO EASY. SO FREAKING EASY. The only class I really need to study for is Russian, but I don't study for that, really, and I still have an A.

Don't pout. You can transfer down here or something if it would make you feel better. Gah. Like, all of the professors are really nice, and they're brilliant, but they dumb things down for the students and GAH. I'm paying a lot to not learn much.

Also. Quantative Chemical Analysis doesn't sound boring. Just effin' scary. o.o

It's boring. It's very boring. And scary as well.

I was supposed to take it this year, but dropped it because I had other scary labs to do. Quantitative Chemical Analysis is all about labwork. The lab is more than half your mark, and all that matters in accuracy (think 99.9% accurate would be a fail). The lectures I attended were ridiculously boring, and the only thing I remember was spending an hour learning how to properly read a buret.

Shoot me please?

(This is that [info]thelios person, by the way. I've just decided to navigate fandom using a separate writing journal from now on.)

Sorry to bother you, but I saw "Model UN" on your course listing and couldn't help but speak up, becuase it's cool. :D It's interesting that you can take it as an actual course (what does it involve?); Model UN is a yearly event for we (or is it "us"?) lowly high school students hereabouts.

Not bothering at all!

It's a yearly event here, too, but the instructor takes it as an opportunity to teach a seminar on the U.N. in general and to make us research the country we're representing. (I say this as if I've done it before. I haven't.) The first semester it doesn't count for any credit hours, but the second semester leading up to the competition, it does.

And you're not lowly. You're just... less developed. :P
